Preparing to move to another country is hard work. You have to pack, get rid of things, sell stuff you really don’t want to part with, deal with visas, go to the doctor to get meds that will tide you over till you get established in your new town. The list goes on and on and on! I have to make a trip to Dallas to go get my tools out of storage so I can get them shipped to the new place. Suzie has been amazing, she’s handled all of the organization of the new place, just as well really because I would have lost my mind at them before now. I am trying to line up ways of shipping our stuff down there that does not cost the same as the GDP of a small country. I could use a moving company but that is insanely expensive and it doesn’t help that I could get a 20ft shipping container moved down there for the same cost. Right now I am looking to see if I can get a partial load moved as freight but nobody wants to take such a small amount. It’s all a headache.
All that being said, the landlords sent us a new video where the house and pool are mostly finished and it looks so much more put together. Seeing it put Suzie and I in a much better mood about the whole deal, the prospect of leaving NOLA and our friends has been making us pretty sad. Anyway, enough of this pity party, I need to get back to work and get this website squared away so I can work on things that make us money.
Toodles.
